Data You Provide

Tasks: The tasks you enter into Unfreeze are stored locally on your device and optionally synced via iCloud to your other devices.
Display Name (Optional): If you opt into Body Doubling, you may provide a first name that other users can see.

Data Collected Automatically

Usage Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of tasks started, timer completions) to improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.
Crash Data: If the app crashes, we receive diagnostic information to help us fix bugs.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Unfreeze service
To sync your data across your devices via iCloud
To enable Body Doubling features (if you opt in)
To improve and optimize the app

Data Storage & Security

Your tasks and personal data are stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud container, encrypted and accessible only to you.

Body Doubling data (active session count and optional display name) is stored in a CloudKit public database but contains no sensitive information and is not linked to your identity.

Third-Party Services

Unfreeze uses the following third-party services:

Apple iCloud: For data sync across your devices
Apple CloudKit: For Body Doubling feature
OpenAI API: For AI-generated first steps (on older devices without on-device AI). Task text is sent to generate suggestions but is not stored by OpenAI.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your data by uninstalling the app
Opt out of Body Doubling at any time
Disable iCloud sync in your device settings
Request information about your data by contacting us

Data We Don't Collect

We want to be clear about what we don't do:

Children's Privacy

Unfreeze is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
